காசும் பிறப்பும் கலகலப்பக் கைபேர்த்து
வாச நறும்குழல் ஆய்ச்சியர் மத்தினால்
ஓசை படுத்த தயிரரவம் கேட்டிலையோ
நாயகப் பெண்பிள்ளாய் நாரா யணன்மூர்த்தி
கேசவனைப் பாடவும்நீ கேட்டே கிடத்தியோ
தேச முடையாய் திறவேலோர் எம்பாவாய்.
இந்தப் பாடலில், ஆண்டாள், மற்றொரு பெண்ணை எழுப்புகிறாள். முதலில், கோபமாக "பேய்ப் பெண்ணே" என்று அழைக்கிறாள். பேய் என்றால் இங்கு அறிவு மழுங்கிய என்று பொருள். "ஆனைச்சாத்தன் என்னும் பறவைகள் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று கலந்து பேசத் தொடங்கிவிட்டன. அந்தப் பேச்சின் சத்தம் கேட்கவில்லையா?" என்று கேட்கிறாள்.
ஆய்ச்சிமார்கள், காலை வேளையில் தயிர் கடைந்து வெண்ணெய் எடுக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார்கள். தயிர் கடையும் போது, அவர்களது மாங்கல்யம் (காசு - ஆமைத்தாலி, பிறப்பு - அச்சுத் தாலி) அசைந்து அசைந்து ஓசை எழுப்புகின்றன. மணம் நிறைந்த கூந்தலை உடையவர்கள் என்று ஆய்ச்சிமார்களின் கூந்தலை, ஆண்டாள் வர்ணிக்கிறாள்.
சூர்யோதயத்திற்கு முன்னமே தயிர் கடைந்து, வெண்ணெயை எடுத்துவிட வேண்டும். சூர்யன் உதித்த பின், வெண்ணெய் உருகிவிடும். அதனால், சூரிய உதயத்திற்கு முன்னமே வெண்ணெய் எடுத்துவிடுவார்கள்.
இப்போது கோபம் சற்று குறைந்து, "நாயகப் பெண் பிள்ளாய்" என்று அப்பெண்ணை அழைக்கிறாள். "நாராயணன், கேசவன் எனப்படும் பரமனைப் பற்றி நாங்கள் பாடத் தொடங்கிவிட்டோம். அதனைக் கேட்டும் நீ இன்னும் படுக்கையில் படுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்காதே. அழகு நிறைந்தவளே, எழுந்து வா" என்கிறாள்.

Andal now wakes up a girl who is still in her bed, even after hearing the sound made by Aanai chaatthan birds. Why should the curd be churned in the morning, before sun rise? After sun rise, if you churn the curd and take butter, the butter will melt. So it was a practice to take butter before sun rise.
