அம்கண்மா ஞாலத்து அரசர் அபிமான
பங்கமாய் வந்து நின் பள்ளிக்கட்டில் கீழே
சங்கம் இருப்பார்போல் வந்து தலைப்பு எய்தோம்
கிங்கிணி வாய்ச்செய்த தாமரைப் பூப்போலே
செங்கண் சிறுச்சிறிதே எம்மேல் விழியாவோ
திங்களும் ஆதித்தியனும் எழுந்தால் போல்
அம்கண் இரண்டும் கொண்டு எங்கள்மேல் நோக்குதியேல்
எங்கள்மேல் சாபம் இழிந்தேலோர் எம்பாவாய்.
இந்தப் பாடலில், இறைவனின் கடைக்கண் பார்வை நமகுக் கிடைத்தால் அதனால் நாம் பெறும் நன்மையைப் பற்றிப் பாடுகிறாள்.
அம் கண் மா ஞாலத்து அரசர் - பெரியதும், அழகியதுமான இந்த பூமியில் ஆட்சி செய்யும் அரசர்கள், மரியாதை நிமித்தமாக (அபிமான பங்கமாய்), நீ பள்ளி கொண்டிருக்கும் கட்டிலுக்கு அருகில் கூடி இருப்பார்கள் (சங்கம் இருப்பார்). அவர்கள் போல், நாங்களும் தலைவணங்கி உன் முன்னே நிற்கின்றோம்.
கிங்கிணி - அரைச்சதங்கை. இடையில் கட்டும் ஒரு ஆபரணம். அதன் மணிகள், பாதி மூடியும், பாதி திறந்தும் இருக்கும். அவ்வாறு பாதி மூடி, பாதி திறந்து இருக்கும், தாமரைப்பூப்போன்ற உன் கண்களால் (இப்போது தானே பள்ளி எழுந்துள்ளார், அதனால் பாதி மூடி, பாதி திறந்து கண்கள் காணப்படுகிறது) எங்கள் மேல் சிறிது சிறிதாக விழிக்க வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறாள்.
அவ்வாறு கண்ணன், இவர்களைப் பார்க்க எப்படி இருக்கிறது? சந்திரனும், சூரியனும் உதித்தால் போல இருக்கிறது. அந்தப் பார்வையானது நம் மேல் பட்டால், நம் சாபங்கள் யாவும் ஒழியும். ஐந்தாம் பாடலில் - தீயினில் தூசாகும் என்று பாடினாள். இப்போது இன்னும் ஊர்ஜிதமாக "எங்கள் மேல் சாபம் இழிந்து" என்று பாடுகிறாள்.

This song says the importance of the lord's glance falling on us.
Here also Andal says that the devotees are standing infront of the Lord's home (vandhu thalaippu eithOm) just like the great rulers of this Earth (am kaN mA gnAlatthu arasar) offer their salutations to the Lord, by bowing down their heads (abimAna pangamAi vandhu) in front of His throne (nin paLLi kattil keezhE sangam iruppaar pOl).
She then asks the lord to glance on them (siruchiridhe emmel vizhiyaavo) with the red eyes (sengaN) that are like the half opened and half closed beads of the hp belt (kinkini). Since the lord has awaken just now, his eyes are not fully opened.
When the lord sees us with his half opened and half closed eyes, how does it looks?
They look like the rising Sun (adhithiyan) and moon (thingaL). If the lord gives a glance (nokkuthiyel) with his beautiful eyes (am kaN irandum kondu) to the devotees (engal mel), then all the ill deeds, curses will be destroyed (engal mel saabam izhindhu).
